The Royal Thai Consulate-General, Dubai organizes a Volunteer Activity on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua Attaining the Same Age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I) 2025

On January 24, 2025, H.E. Miss Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, together with officials and staff of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai as well as representatives from Team Thai in Dubai which includes the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Dubai Office and SCG International Middle East Trading LLC, participated in a voluntary community service activity by planting the Ratchaphruek Tree (Golden Shower Tree), Thailand's auspicious national tree since 2001. This activity was organized to celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua Attaining the Same Age (26,469 days) as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I), the first monarch of the Chakri Dynasty, in 2025.

In addition to celebrating the Royal Occasion, this tree planting volunteer activity also supported the "Plants the Emirates" initiative, which is part of the national programme of the United Arab Emirates and aligns with the environmental conservation efforts initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, thus highlighting the close and friendly relations between Thailand and the United Arab Emirates as both countries celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations in 2025 this year.
