On 13 February 2025, H.E. Ms. Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of Thailand in Dubai and Northern Emirates, paid a courtesy visit and held discussion with H.E. Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director-General, Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC). The meeting was attended by officials and staffs from the Consulate-General, as well as the General Manager of PTT MEA’s Abu Dhabi office.

 

During the visit, the Consul-General expressed appreciation for the Foundation’s support in assisting Thai nationals in distress and reaffirmed the Consulate-General’s commitment to working closely with DFWAC to provide continued assistance.

DFWAC, a key charitable organization in Dubai, provides shelter and supports for women and children in difficult situations, including victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. The Foundation also has assisted several Thai mothers and children in need.

 

As part of the visit, DFWAC gave a briefing and a tour of the Foundation's operations, highlighting its mission to raise awareness about human trafficking and domestic violence, provide psychological support, and offer vocational training to help beneficiaries reintegrate into society. Since its establishment in 2007, the Foundation has provided care and shelter to over 13,000 women and children from various countries.

To show appreciation and support for DFWAC’s humanitarian efforts, the Consulate-General donated cash, food, and essential supplies for women and children. These donations were contributed by the Thai community in the UAE, along with Thai public and private sector entities, including Thai Labour Office, Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, PTT MEA Co.,LTD. and Serve the City Foundation.
