Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates
Miss Nipa Nirannoot first joined Thailand’s foreign services in 1995. Over 28 years of
her versatile career as a diplomat, she has held several managerial positions at the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand as a Director of ASEAN Dialogue Partners
and International Organization Division during Thailand’s ASEAN 2019
Chairmanship, a Press Director at the Department of Information (2020-2021)
and recently a Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and
South Pacific Affairs during Thailand’s host of APEC 2022.
For her posting experiences, she served as First Secretary at the Royal Thai Embassy
in Mexico City (2000-2003), Consul at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in
Los Angeles (2007-2010) and Minister-Counsellor / Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) at
the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur (2016-2018).
Miss Nirannoot assumed the position of Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai
and the Northern Emirates in May 2023, proudly serving as Thailand’s first female
head of diplomatic mission in the GCC countries.
Miss Nirannoot obtained a Bachelor Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy
from Thammasat University, Bangkok and later earned a Master Degree in
International Economics and Finance from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok.
She further obtained a Certificate on Asian Studies from Sophia University, Tokyo
and a Certificate on International Trade and Commerce with Concentration in
Global Business Management from University of California Los Angeles.
