               On 11 October 2021, H.E. Mr. Chairat Sirivat, Consul-General, together with his spouse, officials and staff of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai, organized a good cause activity at the Senses - Residential and Day Care for Special Needs to commemorate the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on 13 October 2021. The food and other necessary consumer goods that are in need for the well-being of the children were given to the Senses.
Founded in 2004, Senses Residential and Day Care for Special Needs (Senses) is a non-profit
charitable organization based in Dubai, UAE and the first residential care facility in the Middle East, dedicated to improving the quality of life of people of determination (special needs) and orphans and abandoned children with special needs. In 2010, with the generous personal contribution from H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the purpose-built day care center and residential care facility was gifted to the organization. Currently, 110 children with various special needs are enrolled at Senses from which over 80 children are living in the residential care facility to receive 24/7 nursing care and medical attention from a team of experts and caregivers.

                On this occasion, the Consul-General and his delegation had a discussion with Dr. Nadia Al Sayegh, Founder & Director General, Dr. Lina Owies, Executive Manager and Mr. Farhan Shahid, Project Development Manager about Senses’ mission and programs for children with special needs. The Consul-General reaffirms the support of the Royal Thai Consulate-General and the Thai Community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. The delegation also joined the children for the development activities and games at Senses.
