On 11 March 2021 at 13.30 hrs., H.E. Chairat Sirivat, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai led the delegation of Team Thailand and Thai entrepreneurs from the private sector in Dubai for a site visit at “Thai Souk the Night Market,” at Souk Al Marfa project in Deira, Dubai. Souk Al Marfa is managed by Nakheel, the leading real estate developer in the UAE and covers the area of approximately 15.3 sq.km. connecting to nearby department stores, hotels, and residences. 5,611 retail booths from different countries are expected to participate in the project, including 82 booths at Thai Souk which is operated by Vega Intertrade and Exhibition Co.,Ltd.

 

On this occasion, Ms. Chayanin Ngamphongphan, representative of Vega Intertrade and Exhibition Co.,Ltd. welcomed and briefed the delegation on the development of Thai Souk of which the concept was derived from the popularity of “Asiatique the Riverfront” project in Thailand. The commercial retail booths have been opened for entrepreneurs. The project is expected to open for the general public in April 2021.
