On 24 June 2025, Ms. Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, together with officials and staffs of the Consulate-General, as well as representatives from the Thai community, clubs and associations in Dubai and the Northern Emirates joined together in a volunteer activity in honour of Her Majesty Queen Suthida’s Birthday Anniversary on 3 June 2025 by donating cash, essential items, dried food, and clothes to the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children to support women and children in need.

 

On this occasion, the Consul-General also paid a courtesy call and held discussions with H.E. Shaikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director-General of the Foundation. The Consul-General praised and expressed appreciation to the Foundation for its ongoing support of the Consulate’s consular work in assisting Thai people in difficult situations, especially in helping Thai mothers and children in need.

 

The Consul-General also expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation with the Foundation through various future projects, such as vocational training for women as well as community-building and raising-awareness activities with Thai associations. In addition, the Consul-General invited the Foundation’s executives and staffs to receive the “Friend of Thailand” Award in recognition of its close and friendly relations with Thailand at the Celebration Ceremony of the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and the United Arab Emirates in December this year.

 

The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children is a charitable organization in Dubai that plays an important role in assisting and providing shelter for women and children in need, especially those who are victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. To express appreciation and support for the Foundation’s humanitarian mission, the Royal Thai Consulate-General donated cash, essential items, and dried food, with contributions from the Labour Office in Abu Dhabi and members of the Thai community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
