On 3 November 2020, H.E. Chairat Sirivat, Consul General of Thailand to Dubai, together with Ms. Nantaporn Laobooncharoen, Deputy Consul General, Mr. Panot Punyahotra, Director of Thai Trade Center, Dubai Office, Ms. Sopis Mudpongtua, Minister Counsellor of the Office of Labour Affairs, Abu Dhabi, Mr. Niti Vongvichasvadi, Deputy Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Dubai and Middle East Office, Mr. Teerayoot Sooksood, Managing Director of SCG International Middle East DMCC and officers of Team Thailand in Dubai, UAE, paid a visit to Thailand Pavilion at Global Village Dubai. On this occasion, Consul-General and his delegation met and discussed with Thai entrepreneurs and vendors both at the Thailand Pavilion and the Floating Market.
The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Chayanin Ngamphongphan, representative of Mr. Akavut Tangsilikusonwong, Managing Director of Vega Intertrade and Exhibition Co.,Ltd., a Thai entrepreneur who have organized a Floating Market. The delegation was on the background of Thai Pavilion and Floating Market where over 20 Thai vendors are taking part in each of the venues this year.
The Floating Market this year consists of 39 food stands mostly presenting Thai street food from every part of Thailand.
Global Village Dubai is a multicultural theme park which showcases internationally themed Pavilions, including Thailand Pavilion. The event has been organized for 24 seasons, each lasted about six months. The 24th season of Global Village is held from 25 October 2020 to 18 April 2021.
