On 2 July 2020, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi and The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai repatriated the 9th batch of 173 Thai nationals in the UAE affected by COVID-19 back to Thailand by FlyDubai, flight no. FZ8893 departing Dubai at 11.00 hrs., bringing 1,356 Thai nationals in total back home. In this regard, the Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Consulate-General would like to especially extend our sincere gratitude to the Government of UAE for their kind benevolence in providing free air tickets for 151 Thai nationals boarding this flight. We look forward to continuing our close and cordial relations for the mutual benefits of our two countries and peoples. In addition, we greatly appreciate all the help and support from the Thai authorities concerned including our Thai community in the UAE that have continuously helped those facing hardship in unity and solidarity so that they can fly home today. The Royal Thai Embassy and the Royal Thai Consulate-General reiterate our commitment to maintain all Thai nationals in UAE's well-being during this unprecedented and difficult time. We will continue to put forth our best effort to help those stranded in UAE and in need of returning to Thailand.
