Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai Presents the Letter of Commission to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, Dubai Office
On 13 September 2023, H.E. Miss Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, paid a courtesy call to Mr. Rashid Abdulla Al Qaseer, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE (MoFA), Dubai Office. On this occasion, the Consul-General presented the Letter of Commission to the Deputy Director to take up her assignment as Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
The Consul-General expressed gratitude for the MoFA’s warm welcome and reiterated her commitment to enhance closer ties and bilateral cooperation between two countries in all areas. On the political relations, the Consul-General is committed to promoting exchange of high-level visits and bilateral meetings, as well as on the preparation for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2025. The Consul-General also placed importance on promoting two-way trade, especially on non-oil sector, toward the mutually-agreed target of USD 30 billion annually, and also on tourism as well as sustainable development. The Consul-General also shared with the Deputy Director of MoFA, Dubai office, her top agenda on people-to-people contacts, consular cooperation, provision of care and protection for Thai nationals, including on women empowerment, since the Consul-General is Thailand’s first female head of diplomatic and consular missions in GCC countries. In this regard, the Deputy Director reaffirmed the MoFA's readiness to support all missions of the Consul-General.
