On 15 March 2021 at 17.30 hrs., H.E. Chairat Sirivat, Consul-General and his spouse, along with government officials and officers from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Dubai paid a visit to "Krua Thai" at the Floating Market, Global Village on the occasion of "Thai Food Festival 2021." The delegation were welcomed and greeted by Ms. Saijai Waiyakruttha, the owner of Krua Thai restaurant and acting president of Thai Professional Culinary Club in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.

 

Ms. Waiyakruttha explained the concept of "Royal Street Food" that showcases a combination of street food and the elaborated presentation of the royal thai cuisine. The restaurant is set up on a boat-shaped booth that resonates the food vendor boat at the floating market in Thailand and elegantly decorated in gold color. In addition, Mr. Aphirom Bunthongtho (Executive Chef) has shown his meticulous way of cooking and plating to the delegation and the customers who visited the restaurant.

 

"Krua Thai" is one of 18 Thai restaurants participating in the Thai Food Festival held from 1-21 March 2021. The restaurant is open on Sunday - Wednesday from 16.00 - 24.00 hrs. and Thursday - Friday from 16:00 - 1:00 hrs. throughout the Global Village, Season 25.
