On 4 April 2024, H.E. Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, together with the Royal Thai Consulate-General's officials and staff as well as the Thai community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, jointly organized a volunteer activity to celebrate the auspicious occasion of H.M. the King of Thailand’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 28 July 2024, by providing Iftar meal packs to fasting persons on the occasion of the month of Ramadan 1445 Hijira at Abdullah Abdul Ghafoor Gargash Mosque. On the same day, the Consulate-General held an Iftar dinner for the Thai community at the Royal Thai Consulate-General.

The activity was successful with great contribution and donation of Iftar food items from the Thai community members. The Consulate-General, together with the Thai community, provided a total of 250 Iftar meal packs to fasting persons.

Following the offering of Iftar food packs, the Thai community, joined by families and friends, brought their food and drinks to have an Iftar dinner together at the Consulate-General. There were a Holy Quran and Dua prayer by Thai students from Al-Qasimia University, Sharjah, before the Iftar.

The volunteer activity on the auspicious occasion of H.M. the King of Thailand’s 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary helps promote unity and demonstrates kindness of the Thai community in Dubai and the Northern Emirates by providing community service to the society in the United Arab Emirates.
