Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai met Dubai Chamber representatives
to promote business network and trade & investment between Thailand and Dubai.
On 17 January 2024, H.E. Miss Nipa Nirannoot, Consul-General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, hosted a working lunch for Dubai Chamber representatives as to promote business exchanges and trade and investment between Thailand and Dubai.
The working lunch participants include Mr. Pitichai Ratananaka, Director of Thai Trade Center in Dubai, Mr. Mohammad Al Kassim, Investment Attraction Director, Mr. Abdulaziz Al Zarooni, Deputy Director, and Mr. Daniel Sellers, Investment Manager, Investment Attraction Department, along with officials from the Consulate-General and the Thai Trade Center.
Both sides discussed the preparation for Dubai Chamber's upcoming visit to Thailand early this year and ways to expand trade and investment between Thailand and Dubai in sectors where Thailand has potential, such as healthcare, hospitality and services, manufacturing, food and beverages, and financial technology (fintech). Additionally, the Consul-General encouraged and expressed support for the establishment of a Dubai International Chamber office in Thailand at earliest opportunity.
The Dubai Chamber consists of three entities, namely, Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Dubai International Chamber, and Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. Currently, the Dubai Chamber has 28 offices globally, with 9 in Asia, including China (Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong), India, Indonesia, Singapore, Viet Nam, and Japan. Dubai Chamber plans to further expand its international presence to 50 offices worldwide.
