On this occasion, the Consul-General discussed with the representative of Dubai Culture on the possibility of cooperation in art and culture between Thailand and the United Arab Emirates in area such as the Thai film screening at the Festival. Cultural cooperation between two countries through films would help promote mutual understanding and close friendship at the people-to-people level and could serve as part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and the UAE in 2025.

Currently, Thailand has gained international recognition for producing high-quality films with unique and diverse characteristics. The Thai government has embraced the film industry as a vehicle for soft power through the Thailand Creative Culture Agency (THACCA) which has allocated budget to support the production of films, TV dramas, series, documentaries, and animations, positioning Thai cinema as a cultural export.
